Dance and Hula Hoop Classes

Dance Technique

Learn how to dance in this fun yet focused class. Students will learn proper body alignment, basic dance steps and fun combinations designed for circus performers. Class will contain modern, jazz and ballet techniques to give students a broad exposure to dance in a contemporary setting. Each class will have a warm up section, foot and arm work, basic dance steps and combination floor work. By the end of the session students will be able to count to music and create a short dance composition of their own imagination. 
Attire: yoga or dance wear, tanks, close fitting T shirts, shorts or leggings. Bare feet or socks are fine, dance shoes can be worn if available, but are not required.

Hoop Dance (Hula Hoop)

 Learn how to Hoop dance in this fun and dynamic class. Learn all the basics of on body (core) hooping as well as hand tricks and beautiful flow moves. Class will cover single hoop tricks, techniques for adding dance to your flow, and all the basic moves you need to start your hoop journey. 
Attire: Close fitting clothing, tanks, shorts, but not baggy/loose clothing. **Over sized clothing can make for a very frustrating hoop class experience. Smooth soled shoes or bare feet or socks are fine.
